VIBO Successfully Organizes Technical Panel Discussion at Can Tho University
On April 23, 2025, at Can Tho University, VIBO Co., Ltd. in collaboration with the School of Fisheries – Can Tho University successfully held a technical panel discussion on the topic: “Latest insights on virulence and antimicrobial resistance of Vibrio spp. – Solutions for prevention and control of TPD and EMS in whiteleg shrimp.”
This event was one of the key technical activities in early 2025, organized with the strong academic support of lecturers and leading experts from Can Tho University, representatives from research institutes, and the specialized VIBO Laboratory in the field of aquaculture.

+ Updates on critical information regarding highly virulent Vibrio strains, including newly detected types such as VHVP-2, pirAB…
+ Presentation of field isolation results and antibiotic susceptibility (antibiogram) testing conducted in major shrimp-farming provinces across the Mekong Delta in early 2025.
+ In-depth discussion on the current situation of antimicrobial resistance and the necessary solutions for controlling diseases in shrimp under present farming conditions.
