Many feed manufacturers reported that the prices of key imported raw materials such as soybean meal, corn, and wheat are lower than the same period last year, helping reduce production costs and pull finished feed prices down. Currently, shrimp feed prices have decreased by about 1,000–1,500 VND/kg, while pangasius and tilapia/red tilapia feed prices have decreased by 500–1,000 VND/kg. Some companies have also implemented promotional programs to support farmers as the consumption market has not fully recovered.

Prices of compound feeds on the market vary by product: black tiger shrimp feed with 40% protein ranges from 34,000–40,000 VND/kg; whiteleg shrimp feed with 38% protein ranges from 30,500–35,700 VND/kg; pangasius feed with 30% protein is around 20,000–20,350 VND/kg; tilapia/red tilapia feed with 30% protein ranges from 16,250–19,800 VND/kg; marine fish feed with 44% protein ranges from 34,100–38,300 VND/kg.

According to the Directorate of Fisheries and the Fisheries Surveillance Department, production by FDI enterprises in the aquafeed and environmental treatment product sector remains stable. In the first 10 months of 2025, shrimp feed output reached 1.20 million tons (51.84% of capacity) and fish feed reached 1.83 million tons (42.32% of capacity). Raw-material production for feed manufacturing operated at 57.59% of designed capacity.

The downward price trend and stable supply are expected to help farmers improve profit margins and enhance the competitiveness of Vietnamese aquaculture products in international markets.
